Breathing Earth Website

One of the things that we looked at as the school year finished was the idea of global warming and the accumulation of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere -- especially CO2 (carbon dioxide). I found this interesting and intriguing website called Breathing Earth (http://www.breathingearth.net/) that shows carbon dioxide emissions around the world AND births and deaths in real time. It is, admittedly, just a simulation and so has some limitations, still it is fascinating to look at and see the way that these pollutants accumulate in our atmosphere, and which countries are responsible for the largest part of this form of environmental harm.
