I think that Tambopata is very interesting. It is a huge rain forest in Peru. Tambopata has hundreds of little critters including tiny monkeys about the size of your hand. Lake Titicaca is a huge deep lake in southern Peru. It is the biggest lake in that area. Machu Pichu is an area that was rediscovered early this century. Machu Pichu attracted many communities. It is a city of ruins. I love South America

I think the places I learned about on this website were really interesting! They were all in Peru, but they each had different characteristics. I thought it was so cool that you can hike the Inca Trail and get to Machu Picchu. If I could visit one of these places, I would want to see Tambopta because of the monkeys everywhere. All of these places are very different than America. The cultures must be very colorful. This website was very helpful. I learned a lot of interesting facts from this website.

I thought Peru sounds cool to go to. There is a lake called Titicaca and it is believed that a god was born there. Most of the population is still indian. I think it is cool that the lost city was never found by the spanish. At Machu Picchu there is a altar that used to channel blood after sacrifices. The Inca Trail sounds awesome to walk through because of the beautiful sights. I thought it was weird that there is a path called the dead woman's path. I would also like to visit Tambopata because of the jungle.

I learned that Cuzco has ruins that are visited. Usually they have ancient things marked off so it stays steady. I also learned that the Inca Trail takes 4 days to cross. I wonder how they came up with that number? Also Machu Picchu was rediscovered in only the beginning of this century. Also in Tambopata there's a monkey that can fit in the palm of your hand. That's so wild! Finally I learned that Lake Titicaca is supposedly the birth-place of the "God" Viracocha.
I had a lot of fun researching different places in South America. I learned that they were all located in southern Peru. The Machu Picchu was the most interesting to me, because it was just rediscovered as a lost city. You must hike there or take a train. It isn't worth taking a train, though. I also liked Tambopata. Tambopata has beautiful flowers and even has a Monkey Island!!! I liked doing this type of assignment. I hope we can do more assignments like this in the future.

I thought that my favorite places that we learned about was Lake Titicaca and Tambopata. They were the most interesting and cool of them all! Tambopata was intreging to me because I love animals and Tambopata is full of them! It is a big rainforest on the Modre de Dios river. I also liked Lake Titicaca partly because the name is fun to say! Also, I like it because I'm a big fan of mythology of any sort and ledgend has it that a god was born there. The island's that surround the lake are supposedly the Sun islands. That is what I learned from reading the pages on south America!

Reading on this website really made me notice the fun tourist destinations in Peru. Learning about the 4 day hike on a trail sounded really cool, unless you get lost. I love hiking so this would be fun to try. Learning about Lake Titicaca was also interesting. It was cool to learn that natives build islands out of reeds. The cities, Cuzco and Pisac and Machu Picchu, sound like it would be fun to visit. It would be awesome to feed a banana to a monkey in the Tambopata rainforest. Those are the things I learned about Peru! Moira
i hope that our grade gets to do more activities like this one. it was very interesting what i found out from the website ms. daniel showed us. the reason it was interesting was because we got to learn about some african landmarks and culture!

Ellie. I think South America is a very interesting place. I think it is neat that Peru is way different than I thought it would be. There are Indians still living there. There are food carts everywhere you look. They even have a place called "the dead woman's cross". There are stunning forests and lots of animals. There is a huge deep lake to go swimming in on the Andes Mountains. If I got offered to go to Peru, I would take it.
I think that this was really fun. it was interesting that al of them were in peru or really near it. all of these places sound really pretty. I would love to learn more about lake titicaca. the water is so blue! I find it really cool that some of it was found only a few years ago. This tells me that south america[alot of which peru] is really beutiful. I really want to learn more about the ancient people who lived in these places. Kelly :} :D

I enjoyed learning all these new places in South America. I learned that Cuzco is in central Peru. It is also the capital of the Inca Empire. Something that I found neat was that there is a market or stall on every street corner. I also learned that the Inca Trail is along the Andes in Peru. it is also the trail to Machu Picchu which is a sacred place in South America. Something I found neat about it was that it has hosted some of the most exhilerating journeys. Machu Picchu is located in Peru. I learned that it is considered "one of the most beautiful places on Earth". Something that I found neat was that you reached by going on the Inca Trail so they are connected. Tambopata is located in Peru. I learned that it is a wet jungle with lots of wildlife inhabited there. Something that I found neat was that it is a huge territory to the Amozon people. I learned that Lake Titicaca is located in Peru. I found out that it a huge deep lake around were Natives settled. Something that I found neat was that some people live right there on the lakeside.

I thought this project was okay. I thought the page was a little confusing but altogether it was okay. I didn't like the questions. I don't think the page had all the questions on it. I think South America is so cool. I learned that Titicaca is 4800m deep. Another place the men weave at home. The women speak in a whisper. Forrest
I learned a lot about South America. I learned where Lake Titicacais located. I also learned about some of Peru's major rivers. Some of them were homes to natives. There is a lot of things in nature that yo can do in Peru. I can't believe there is a lost city. I can't believe about the long trail that it takes 4 days to walk.
Samantha
In South Peru there are some very beautiful site. they are:Lake Titicaca,Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and tambopata. They were all very intersting but Machu Picchu stood out the most because if you had to go on a 4 day hike to the 8th wonder of the world (in my opinion)i absolutly would. Then next thing that stood out was Tambopata. It is a rain forest with all kinds of wonderful creatures, like monkeys that are small and big.The lake titicaca seemed pretty and fun to live on. Cuzcu was interesting but the only really cool thing that stood out to me was that it had markets on almost every corner. Now that I know more about Peru I want to go there even more!
Emma:-)
I learned that Cuzco used to be the capital of the great Inca Empire. That the Inca Trail leads to Machu Picchu (city in the clouds). It takes a 4 day hike to get to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail! I learned that Machu Picchu is surrounded by a ring of 6000m mountains. I learned that Lake Titicaca is about 4800 m deep! And finally I learned that Tambopata is a rainforrest on the
Marde de dios river.
Overall I thought it was a pretty cool site!
Christopher
I learned that the lake Titicaca is 4,800 ft. deep! South America is mostly forests/Rain forests and mountains. The Inca trail takes you all the way to Machu Picchu. The thing is that it takes a 4 day hike! Cuzo must be a busy with everything that goes on. Machu Picchu has a ring of 6,000m around it. The site was really cool and interesting. this project was cool. I'm glad we did it.
Carson
Cuzco is a busy town in south Peru, and was capitol of the Great Inca Empire. The Inca trail is an ancient path through the Andes to Machu Picchu. I think i is weird that on the trail there is a path called Dead Woman's Path. Machu Picchu was a lost city that was recently rediscovered early this century. Tambopata is in a rain forest on the Madre de Dios river. In the rain forest there is a place called Monkey Island that is full of monkeys. Lake Titicaca is a huge deep lake, 4800 m. up in the Andes.

I really liked this worksheet. I got to learn about places in South America and I got to use a computer! I learned that Cuzco, The Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, Tambopata, and Lake Titicaca are all in South America. I learned that in Cuzco there are market stalls on almost every street corner. I learned that the Inca Trail leads to Machu Picchu. I learned that Machu Picchu was once a lost city and was rediscovered this century. I learned that in Tambopata, if you give a monkey a banana, it might be friendly with you! I also learned that the Inca legend says that Viracocho was born in Lake Titicaca. I would like to do a worksheet like this again.
